“Unfold designed a cup and carafe from a local Belgian clay, used since the 13th century for brickmaking. Fired at 1200°C, it turns dark red, purple, and almost black. Using open-sourced ceramic printers, Unfold’s design is an ode to coiling, a traditional ceramic technique. They developed new software methods to break from the traditional planar 3D-printing appearance.”
