3D printed wool
Developed by Christien Meindertsma

“Most European wool is composted because of its perceived inferior quality – there isn’t the infrastructure to process it. Dutch designer Christien Meindertsma is developing a robot that can build volumes out of this wool, rather like a 3D printer. The goal is not to design a new sofa, but to make a tool that can enable all makers to infiltrate this waste stream.”
